About 12 percent of families owning computers in the U.S. have a Mac

About 12 percent of families owning computers in the U.S. now have a Mac, reports The NPD Group in its second annual household penetration studies. That REPRESENTED three percentage points over 2008, the market-research firm’s findings. According to the report, 72 percent of Mac users have laptops, 85 percent of respondents Mac users also have a Windows PC. Those households that own a Mac are also those with greater consumption electrónicade consumption. The survey found that 63 percent of households own an Apple iPod, compared with 36 percent of computer owners in general.
